On both covers double fillets form a frame decorated on the upper cover with a round eagle stamp, and on the lower with a rosette stamp (Kyriß pl. 339, no. 2) and a lozenge-shaped floral stamp (Kyriß pl. 339, no. 1). The inner panel on both covers is divided by double fillets into triangular compartments, decorated, on the upper cover with the lozenge-shaped floral stamp and a small floral stamp (Kyriß pl. 339, no. 3), and on the lower with a large circular eagle stamp, the lozenge-shaped floral stamp, and the small floral stamp. Manuscript label and number ‘B7' on spine. Index tabs. Size: 220 × 160 × 70 mm. Size of leaf: 208 × 141 mm. Incunable leaves used as pastedowns. Name of printer and place of printing written on front flyleaf, also ‘Augustinus in quatuor tractatibus', and shelfmark ‘Sub Litt. A.’ Four- to six-line initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue. Some capital strokes in red. Provenance: Adelberg, Württemberg, Premonstratensian convent, SS. Maria et Udalricus; cancelled inscription on a1r. Roth, Swabia, Premonstratensian convent, S. Maria and S. Verena, 1732; inscription and stamp on a1r. Hermann Vogler, Abbot of Roth 1711-44; armorial book-plate: see Warnecke no. 1795, and Leiningen-Westerburg 305-6, with reproduction on 306.
