On [a2r] a historiated initial is supplied in blue with white highlighting; within a red frame, Jerome seated at a desk; in the guttering, a floral ornament in red, green, and blue. Principal initials are supplied in gold and colours with floral extensions into the margins and some gold-dotting. Other initials are supplied either in interlocked red and blue with pen-flourishing in blue; or, alternately in red and blue; red capital strokes and underlining.
