To the lower margin of x7 verso is "Iste liber [...]tus est usum fr[...] or. mi. obs[...] p[er]rdum p. in x° fr[...] Bernardinum de Cayis eiusdem or. ac provincie [...] tunc vicarium dignissimum [and in a different hand] et pertinet loco .s. Bernardini apud Caravagium". To the verso of the blank x8 is a similar inscription concerning the same individual, dated 1511. The rear pastedown (taken from a sixteenth-century manuscript) is inscribed, in a sixteenth-century hand, "Quoniam dominus sic voluit ut adimpleanus scripturas Thomas R." Bought at Sotheby's (lot 106) on 23rd May 1960. A letter concerning this sale from J. O. T. Howard of Quaritch to J. C. T. Oates of the Library (dated 16th May 1960), is slipped in.$5UkCU
