Initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; capital strokes and underlining in red.
Provenance: Probably Georg Franz Burkhard Kloß (1787-1854); on front pastedown is a manuscript note by Kloß and a binding similar to other books formerly owned by Kloß; not found in Kloß sale catalogue.

Binding: Eighteenth-century French gold-tooled red morocco; marbled pastedowns and gilt-edged leaves; triple fillets form a border with a small floral stamp at each corner.
Size: 200 × 140 × 15 mm.
Size of leaf: 192 × 127 mm.
Some faint early notes, possibly washed out.
Initials supplied and underlining in red; red capital strokes, all in gatherings b and c only.
Provenance: Jean Joseph Rive (1730-1791/2); manuscript note on title-page ‘faite et ecrite par l'abbé Rive'.
Book-plate removed from upper pastedown.
