Binding: Nineteenth-century panelled calf; marbled pastedowns and gilt-edged leaves. The gold stamp of the arms of the Society of Writers to the Signet on each cover. Both covers detached.

Initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; capital strokes and underlining in red.
