  1. C-078(1) Copy Binding: Contemporary German blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, repaired and rebacked. Manuscript title along fore-edge. On both covers fillets form a double frame. Within the outer frame, crocketed cresting made up by an arch stamp and a small fleur-de-lis; in the inner rectangle, merrythoughts made up by individual headed-outline tools and filled with fleurons. Size: 295 × 210 × 70 mm. Size of leaf: 286 × 196 mm. Occasional early marginal notes and running headlines. Initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; red capital strokes and underlining. Provenance: Regensburg, Bavaria, Jesuits; on [a2r] an inscription: ‘Collegii Societatis Jesu Ratisponae 1620'. J. T. Hand (fl. 1834-1837), 1835; signature on [a2r]; sale (1837), lot 179.
