2a1r [Chiarini, Giorgio(?)]: Libro che tratta di mercanzie et usanze dei paesi. ‘Il libro di tucti e chotumi, cambi, monete, pesi, misure [e] usanze di lectere di cambi [e] termini di decte lectere che ne paesi si chostuma [e] in diuerse terre'.’ Incipit: ‘[L]ibre cento di Firenze fanno in Siena . . .’ The authorship is doubtful; ascribed to Giorgio Chiarini by F. Fossi, Catalogus codicum qui in publica bibliotheca adservantur (Florence, 1793), I 515-16; several other authors have been suggested; El libro di mercantie et usanze dei paesi, ed. F. Borlandi (Turin, 1936), pp. xx–xxv and xxvii–xxx, suggests that it is a compilation made up by a succession of contributors; see DBI XXIV 573-4.
