The commentary on [a5r] is set up slightly differently from the BL copy; it is also different on [c1r-v], beginning at line 52 of col. 2, with the two last lines of the recto of the BL copy being found on the verso of the Bodleian copy. Wanting the last leaf containing the Constitutio ‘Execrabilis'. Binding: Eighteenth-century French red morocco; gilt fillets form a frame with foliate and acorn stamps in the corners; the spine gold-tooled; marbled pastedowns; endpaper watermarked ‘J. Honig & Zoon'. Size: 477 × 345 × 25 mm. Size of leaf: 470 × 333 mm. On [a1r] a nine-line initial is supplied in red with foliate scrolling in pink on a gold ground within a blue and light blue frame; floral and foliate extensions in green, red, blue, lilac, and gold. Other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue; red capital strokes and underlining. Provenance: Mainz, Jakobsberg, Benedictines; on [a3v] an early inscription: ‘Codex monasterii sancti Jacobi in monte specioso iuxta Magunt[iam]'; probably the copy listed in Wolfgang Trefler's catalogue of the library of 1512; see Fritz Schillmann, Wolfgang Trefler und die Bibliothek des Jakobsklosters zu Mainz.
