Binding: Eighteenth/nineteenth-century (after 1790) English half russia; marbled pasteboards; bound for Wodhull.
Size: 227 × 171 × 10 mm.
Size of leaf: 220 × 155 mm.
Marginal notes, some in Italian. On [a1r] in a fifteenth-century hand, a partly cancelled draft letter in Italian, incipit: ‘Carissimo et amantissimo mio [ ]'. On [e8v] an incomplete list of the ‘praecepta' for fols 1-4, in the same hand as the one of some of the annotations and the foliation.
On [a2r] two shields bearing coats of arms in lower margin, drawn in black ink: a fess between three helms closed and in profile, without tinctures; the remains of the tinctures of a second coat of arms, gules and azure, but now heavily defaced, possibly a lion rampant. Foliation is supplied in black ink, 1-8, IX–XXXVIII.
