2. D-167(2) Second copy Bound in two volumes: for vol. 2 see D‑163(2). Wanting the blank leaves [¹ a1] and [z6]. An initial has been cut away at the beginning of each part. Binding (of vol. 1): Seventeenth-century English calf; two ties lost; rebacked. Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at the tail of the upper cover. On both covers triple fillets form a border. Size: 372 × 257 × 52 mm. Size of leaf: 365 × 245 mm. Occasional early marginal notes. On [¹ a2r] and on [² a2r] remains of a floral border in green, gold, red, and black, with gold dots; on [³ a2r] remains of a foliate border in green, pink, gold, and black, also a four-line initial ‘C' are supplied in gold on a blue and pink ground with white filigree decoration; on [⁴ a2r] a foliate border in green, blue, pink, gold, and black, also a four-line initial ‘A' are supplied in gold on a blue and pink ground with white filigree decoration. Other initials are supplied in blue, with red pen-work infill, decoration, and extensions into the margins. Paragraph marks are supplied in red; capital strokes and underlining in red.
