Gatherings [1 a-b] are bound at the end; gathering [1 a] is preceded by a blank leaf.
Binding: Contemporary German blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards, with two metal clasps. On both covers fillets form a border. Further fillets divide the rectangle into lozenge-shaped and triangular compartments, decorated with a palmette-shaped floral stamp or a scroll stamp reading ‘Maria'. Contemporary manuscript label on the upper cover; other later labels on the spine.
Size: 240 × 180 × 95 mm.
Size of leaf: 235 × 158 mm.
Partial rubrication on2 a2r –a4r: on2 a2r a six-line initial supplied in red; paragraph marks supplied in red. Manuscript author and title along the fore-edge in a fifteenth/sixteenth-century hand.
