Expositio Canonis Missae
Analysis of content:
  1. [a2r] Expositio canonis missae. Incipit: ‘[T]e igitur, clementissime pater . . . In hac prima parte canonis dirigitur petitio . . .’ expl: Si maiorem declarationem habere volueris quere in rationali diuinorum. Amen A commentary on the Canon, from ‘Te igitur' to ‘Agnus Dei', tentatively ascribed to Johannes Cornubiensis in PL CLXX 455-70, also variously attributed to Hugo de Sancto Victore and Thomas Aquinas, probably by Richardus de Wedinghausen (the Premonstratensian); see Franz, Messe, 418 and Sharpe, Latin Writers, nos 650 and 1366.
Imprint:
[Augsburg: Günther Zainer, c.1470]. Folio. BMC reprint notes that the Ljubljana copy was bought ‘Auguste in officina impressoris' in 1472; and, given that Zainer did not use the type after 1470, and Schüssler did, the book should be ascribed to [Johann Schüssler, not after 1472]; see J. Glonar, ‘Zu Hain 6795', ZfB 58 (1941), 277-8.
Collation:
[a12].
