2. F-043(2) Second copy Binding: Contemporary blind-tooled pigskin over pasteboards; four ties lost. On both covers fillets form an outer border. On the upper cover fillets form a double frame; vertical fillets form a rectangle along the upper edge, possibly intended for a title label; beneath this a rectangle formed by a foliate roll; an inner rectangle is decorated with a second foliate roll. On the lower cover fillets form an inner rectangle, which is divided by fillets into triangular compartments. The spine is decorated with a repeated fleuron. The name of the author and the title are written on the upper cover in black ink in a fifteenth/sixteenth-century hand. Size: 213 × 156 × 43 mm. Size of leaf: 206 × 136 mm. Provenance: South German monastic(?) shelfmarks, ‘Philos. Opera varia 146' and ‘1137 Cb'(?). Duplicate from the Royal Library, Munich; ‘Dpl' in red pencil on pastedown, ‘3243' on [a1r].
