Incipit: ‘Quemadmodum Dinocrates architectus, clarissime vir, procera statura facie aut . . .’ Explicit: si superest locum rogantem. Vale. The letter suggests that Beroaldus did the editorial work at the request of Stephanus Corallus, the printer, and that 1000 copies were to be printed.

Binding: Eighteenth-century English diced russia; marbled pastedowns. On both covers fillets form a frame, inside which is a dentelle roll in gilt; with gold-tooled spine and turn-ins; the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers.

Size of leaf: 224 × 154 mm.
Provenance: Corner of front endleaf cut away.
