Binding: Contemporary German (Augsburg, Kyriß workshop no. 84) blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, with metal clasps and catches. On the upper cover triple fillets form an intersecting triple frame; within the first frame, a crocketed cresting roll, within the second frame flower stamps, within the third frame a stag roll; in the inner rectangle is a repeated circular pelican stamp. On the lower cover triple fillets form an intersecting double frame; within the second frame a crocketed cresting roll; in the inner rectangle headed-outline tools make up merrythoughts. On the spine is a repeated circular floral stamp. See Kyriß pl. 171, no. 1-4.

On c1r a seven-line initial is supplied in blue; other initials and partial underlining of chapter headings supplied in red.
