G-294(1) Copy Binding: Contemporary blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, rebacked, with two metal catches; triple fillets form an intersecting triple frame, further triple fillets divide the area diagonally. Parchment pastedowns. Size: 302 × 220 × 43 mm. Size of leaf: 286 × 207 mm. ‘Manipulus sacramentis' on the verso of the front endleaf, ‘Manipulus curatorum liber perutilis' on [a1r], both in a sixteenth/seventeenth-century hand. On the rear pastedown an inscription in an early French hand: ‘Lis deux pres[ ] de[ ] xx al[ ] [ ] d[ ]p'. A few ‘nota' marks. On [a1r] a five-line initial is supplied in interlocked red and blue with red and blue pen-work decoration extending along the margin. Other two- and three-line initials are supplied in red or blue with blue or red pen-work decoration; red or blue paragraph marks. Provenance: ‘Valentin chanoyne'; sixteenth century(?) inscription on [a1r].
