  1. G-291(1) Copy Wanting gathering Q. The word ‘finit' has been printed on P6v. Binding: Early sixteenth-century English blind-tooled calf(?) over wooden boards, one metal catch and remains of clasp, hinged from the upper cover. Triple fillets form an intersecting triple frame; in the inner rectangle is a panel of St Martin within a frame with scenes from the chase running round continuously, so that at the lower part of the panel it is upside down; see Oldham, Blind Panels, 42 ST. 34, pl. LII. Size: 213 × 152 × 25 mm. Size of leaf: 208 × 148 mm. Both pastedowns, consisting of thirteenth-century(?) manuscript pastedowns and now removed, have offset text and red or green initials on back boards. Early inscription on a1v: ‘Per istum librum et omnes alios sub nostra potestate existentes omni in loco abolitum nomen pape unacum eius aucthoritate'; other marginal annotations, extracting key words, in the same hand and in a later one.
