On [v7r], col. 1: ‘Particula ſcd'a de | . . .', not as Pellechet. Binding: Nineteenth-century blind-tooled calf; marbled pastedowns; bound for the Bodleian Library. Size: 197 × 142 × 35 mm. Size of leaf: 187 × 128 mm. Early marginal notes, ‘nota' marks, and pen-trials, including some in German, for example, on [l6v], [m8v], and [o4v]; also notes, for example, on [a1v], [a2r], and [v5v], in the hand of Vincentius Braunrrade(?) (see below). Two- to six-line initials, some with extensions into the margins, capital strokes, and underlining are supplied in red; woodcuts coloured in red, yellow, blue, green, and black. Provenance: Margareta Brued(?) (fifteenth/sixteeenth century); an inscription on [a1r]: ‘Ex donatione cuiusdam vidue Margarete Brued que mirum in modum addicta conuentui nostro fuit sed quia vsum r[ati]o[n]is prohdolor non habet hinc bona tam mobilia quam immobilia ad alienigenas deuoluta sunt.' Anselm Hasselt (fifteenth century); heavily cancelled inscription on [a1r]: ‘Frater Anselmus Hasselt ordinis predicatorum in Colonia'. Vincentius Braunrrade(?) (sixteenth century); inscription on [a1v]: ‘Vincentius Braunrrade(?) possidet et fouet me'; inscription on [v5v]: ‘Opusculum hoc de simplicibus confectum Vincentius Braunrrede(?). Sibi vendica[t?]. Huius quidem possessor exysto ex bona cuiusdam honesti ac ingeniosi adolescentuli erculensis animi assertione. Honora medicum propter necessitatem'. D. J. Section lxxv is numbered lxxiii. Binding: Nineteenth-century English russia, with gilt-edged leaves. Spine damaged and the upper cover detached. Size: 221 × 157 × 30 mm. Size of leaf: 211 × 136 mm. Some early marginal annotations. Partial rubrication: some three- to six-line initials, paragraph marks, capital strokes, and underlining are supplied in red; rubricated by Nicolaus Straub, 1489; see inscription on [a2r]: ‘Nicolaus Straub ano etc. 89 [ ]'. Woodcuts coloured in red, yellow, green, and pink. Provenance: Nicolaus Straub (fl. 1489), the rubricator, may also have owned the book. Heavily erased inscription on [a2r]. Oxford, Radcliffe Library; book-plate; acquired by 1835: see interleaved copy of the Radcliffe Catalogue (1835), p. 271, with manuscript shelfmark ‘23.C.3.8'.
