Mancinellus's work as editor is apparent from the dedicatory letter.

The date in the colophon is 8 Mar., but the letter of the editor, Mancinellus, at the end of the prelims, to Nicolaus Rubeus, is dated ‘tertio Cal. Aprilis', that is 30 Mar. 1494; BMC and Sheppard compute this date as 29 Mar.

Douce e.73, fol. 11r, 'Herodotus Vent. 1494'). Name of author along the fore-edge in black ink. Size: 319 × 220 × 24 mm. Size of leaf: 309 × 205 mm. Frequent underlining in the text in red crayon.
