Size of leaf: 284 × 201 mm. Foliation, in Roman figures, in the upper margins of the rectos in ‘Garzonier''s hand. Six- to seven-line initials are supplied in interlocked red and blue. Other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue. Capitals touched with yellow wash. Provenance: Magister Simon V[ ]ay(?) (fifteenth century); on [l9v] early inscription in red ink: ‘Iste liber est m[agistri] Simonis V[ ]ay quicomque invæniat rædat m[agistro] Simonis(!) V[ ]ey.' Garzonier (sixteenth century); this name is found in several times in the book. Possibly James Edwards, Catalogue (1790), no. 1134: ‘La Destruction de Troye la grant, premiere edition, relié en peaux russien, 3l 3s, circa 1470; in Douce's copy of the catalogue marked with ‘Douce', the price being corrected to £2. 12. 0.
