  1. H-198(1) Copy On many leaves manuscript signatures can still be seen, and some clearly pre-date the stamped signatures, for example, on g5. The early manuscript signatures consider gatherings d and [*] as one, numbering them d1-20. Binding: Eighteenth/nineteenth-century English blind-tooled diced russia, with the stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers in blind. Size: 291 × 208 × 28 mm. Size of leaf: 285 × 192 mm. Fifteenth-century Italian interlinear and marginal annotations, including corrections to the text and to the punctuation; also pointing hands and ‘nota' marks. Some early catchwords. One- to four-line initials, paragraph marks, running headings (now faded), and some rubric titles are supplied in red. Provenance: Eichstätt, Bavaria, Fürstbischöfliche Hofbibliothek, Bibliotheca Aulica; inscription on [a1r]: ‘Ad Bibl. aul. Eystettensem'. Purchased for £31. 10. 0; see Books Purchased (1804), 1.
