Binding: Sixteenth/seventeenth-century blind-tooled parchment, with the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on the front pastedown. Sprinkled red and black-edged leaves. Size: 305 × 206 × 33 mm. In gathering B, sheets 1, 2, and the outer forme of sheet 3 are also differently set up from those in the preceding copy; B1r, l. 1: ‘ . . . ἐπεχείρησας  . . .’ Binding: Nineteenth-century gold-tooled red morocco; gilt-edged leaves and marbled pastedowns; bound by F. Bedford. Size: 308 × 204 × 35 mm. Size of leaf: 308 × 204 mm. A few marginal notes in Greek. ‘2697' in brown ink on Α1r. On Α2r a contemporary Italian (Milan) initial ‘I' is supplied in gold, decorated with blue, green, and silver (previously red?) acanthus leaves, within a pink frame; on the same leaf, the printed headline is surrounded by a pink frame decorated with acanthus leaves and hanging from a blue chain with a trompe-l'œil effect. Provenance: London, Royal Society; stamp: ‘Soc. Reg. Lond.' William Horatio Crawford (1815-1888); armorial book-plate. Ingram Bywater (1840-1914); purchased by B.
