Binding: Contemporary German blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards, with two metal clasps. Title on a rectangular paper label at the head of upper cover. On the upper cover, triple fillets form a triple frame. Outside the outer frame, intersecting diagonal double fillets form a lozenge-shaped border with circular rosette stamps. Within the outer frame, thistle stamps; within the following frame, thistle and rosette stamps. The inner rectangle, very worn, contains apex and rosette stamps. On the lower cover, triple fillets form a frame surrounded by the same border found on the upper cover. Diagonal triple fillets divide the inner rectangle into lozenge-shaped and triangular compartments, each containing a rosette stamp or a circular floral stamp. Small floral stamps at the intersection of the fillets.

Marginal notes, mainly extracting key words, in two different early hands, one of which is probably that of Iacobus Krux(?).
