Woodcut on a1v (198x132): a vassal kneeling in front of the Emperor, who's sitting on his throne among the prince-electors: three bishops at his right and three princes at his left; four knights at the bottom of the stairs, one of them bearing the flag with the arms of Württemberg-Mömpelgard (identification provided in BMC II 400, referring to a copy of ISTC ij00604000, an edition of the same text, and woodcut, printed by Zeissenmair in 1494. See also: W.L. Schreiber, Manuel de l'amateur de la gravure ... 1890-1910, No. 4481.) The BL copy comes with woodcut wrappers printed by Ratdolt in 1494, apparently on imitation of the wrappers printed by Zeissenmair for its edition (Broxbourne Library. Styles and Designs of Bookbindings, 1961, n. 6, pp. 14-17.)
