Binding: Eighteenth-century parchment; marbled pastedowns, and some gold-tooling on the spine. Manuscript title(?) in black ink on the fore-edge. Size: 233 × 171 × 49 mm. Size of leaf: 227 × 163 mm. Two- to seven-line initials, some with extensions into the margin, are supplied mainly in red, but occasionally in blue; paragraph marks supplied in red or blue; capitals are touched with yellow wash. Note on A1r by the rubricator on the number of letters he provided: ‘Litere 652 parafi: [ ]'. Irregular manuscript foliation: 1-233. Provenance: Abondius [de Mandello?] (fifteenth/sixteenth century); inscription on a1r: ‘Iste liber est meus fratris Abondii ordinis seruorum alme Marie . . . fratris [ ]eus donauit [ ]'. Johannes Jacobus (fl. 1568). Julius Bergomensis (fl. 1568); inscriptions on A2r: ‘Frater Joannes Jacobus donauit hunc librum fratri Julio Bergomensi 1568 adi 20 de Decembrio et de manu propria scripsit viua m[ ] santo Marco adio non altro'; and on a1r: ‘et frater Joannes Jacobus successit in hoc libro'.
