Signature [k1v] bears the text for [p1r], where it reappears differently set. The text on [k1v] has been crossed out with a pen. The blank leaf [h5] cut away. Gathering [*] bound at the beginning. Binding: Contemporary German (Hildesheim, Lüchtenhof) blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards, with two metal clasps and catches. Triple fillets form a triple frame. Within the outer frame a repeated foliate staff stamp. In the inner rectangle curved-outline tools make up merrythoughts, each containing a circular rosette stamp. Flat or knotted leather index tabs, coloured red or green; see Bod-inc. G‑324. The foliate staff with flowers is also found on Wolfenbüttel, Herzog August Bibliothek, 82.19. Quodl., Wolfenbüttel, Herzog August Bibliothek, 62.6 Qu., Wolfenbüttel, Herzog August Bibliothek, E303.2° Helmst., and Hildesheim, Dombibliothek, J 95, all with provenances from Hildesheim, Lüchtenhof, ex informatione Jürgen Geiß, 19 June 1997). Size: 293 × 210 × 80 mm. Size of leaf: 273 × 192 mm. Erased contemporary inscriptions on front and rear pastedowns. Initials and capital strokes are supplied in red.
