  1. [a1r] Rampegollis, Antonius de: [Prologue to the Compendium Morale sive Figurae Bibliae, addressed to] members of the congregation of his order in Naples (OESA, S. Giovanni a Carbonara). Incipit: ‘[R]eligiosis atque honestis uiris in Christo dilectis fratribus studentibus Neapolim(!) conuentus ordinis fratrum heremitarum sancti Augustini, Anthonius Rampigollis . . .’ On the identification of the author as Antonius de Rampegollis, see J.   3. [a2v] [Bindus Guerrius de Senis: Aureum Bibliae Repertorium sive Aurea Biblia.] ‘Abstinentia est meriti augmentatiua, sapientiae acquisitiua, religiositatis ostensiua . . . exempli demonstratiua'. Incipit: ‘[A]bstinentia est primo meriti augmentatiua, auget enim merita et uirtutes. Ideo uoluit dominus noster parentes nostros . . .’ The prologue alone is by Antonius Rampegollis. The Aureum Bibliae Repertorium (identical with the so-called ‘Distinctiones exemplorum Veteri et Noui Testamentorum' of Nicolaus de Hanapis) is by Bindus Guerrius of Siena; see Scholderer, ‘Further Note', 153-4; Zumkeller 62-3, no. 115; Sack, Freiburg, 3010. The title ‘Reportatorium Bibliae' is recorded in the explicit on [m10r].

  2. B-345A(2) Second copy Binding: Nineteenth-century half calf with brown cloth over pasteboards; bound for the Bodleian Library. Size: 315 × 219 × 21 mm. Size of leaf: 306 × 200 mm. A marginal note, ‘Nota bene', supplied in a sixteenth-century German hand on [g10v]. On [a1r] a six-line initial ‘R' is supplied in interlocked red and blue with red and blue pen-work and extensions into the margin. Elsewhere one- to two-line initials, capital strokes, pilcrows, and underlining of headings are supplied in red. Provenance: Duplicate from the Royal Library, Munich; ‘No. 1356 n. 2', ‘4980' and ‘Dupl' in pencil in the upper right-hand corner on front endleaf. Acquired between 1847 and c.1892, probably in 1850; not in Catalogus (1843) with Appendix. SHELFMARK: Auct. 5Q 4.20.
