Binding: Thick paper boards covered with leaves from a fourteenth-century German manuscript missal on parchment, with some parts of a thirteenth-century manuscript on the spine.
Size: 216 × 151 × 17 mm.
Size of leaf: 202 × 131 mm.
A marginal ‘nota' in red ink in a fifteenth-century hand.
Woodcut initial coloured with yellow. Capital strokes, underlining and some manuscript initials are supplied in red ink.
Provenance: The missal (see binding) was used in Würzburg, according to a note in Duff's hand.
Edward Gordon Duff (1863-1924).
Purchased by the Friends of the Bodleian in 1957 (1956 according to to Sheppard) from the collection of the late E. Gordon Duff; see BLR 6,1 (1957), 346.
