1. R-105(1) First copy Wanting the blank leaf [****8]. Leaves [*1r –****7v], containing the table, are bound after the text. Binding: Nineteenth-century marbled paper boards; the title(?) written along the upper edge. Size: 301 × 224 × 44 mm. Size of leaf: 288 × 214 mm. A few marginal notes in a French hand c.1500, extracting key words, repeating sections of the text, and supplying references and brackets. The words ‘SAVE GAIRDT VIVE BURGUND' on [p7v] have been largely obliterated. Provenance: Sens, Yonne, Celestines, BVM; see ‘Celestino[rum] Senon̄ est liber iste' on [a1r]. The Sotheby's number ‘299' on an octagonal label on the spine suggests that this was one of the 17 editions of the Fasciculus Temporum marked down to Bandinel in Sotheby's annotated catalogue (1837); see R‑116(2). Incipit: ‘In bono consid[ ] . . . prologus ergo | “Jhesus praeceptor miserere nostri” [Lc 17,13] Lucis 17. In li ^o benedictione . . . libro quod . . . dominus “iret in Jherusalem transibat(!) per mediam Samariam et Galileam et cum ingrederetur . . .” [Lc 17,11]'. Binding: Early nineteenth-century gold-tooled russia over thick paper boards; marbled pastedowns. Size: 307 × 225 × 46 mm. Size of leaf: 295 × 210 mm. A few marginal notes in a contemporary German hand, mainly supplying ‘nota' marks and key words. ‘2-10-0 RB' and the number ‘52' in pencil on recto of front endleaf.
