Binding: Nineteenth-century blind-tooled calf. Red-edged leaves. ‘2' in black ink across the fore-edge.
Size: 308 × 213 × 40 mm.
Size of leaf: 299 × 195 mm.
Occasional marking with vertical lines along the outer margins, in dark brown ink.
Provenance and date of acquisition unknown; no indication from the shelfmark.

Binding: Seventeenth-century blind-tooled calf. Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at head of upper cover. Sprinkled red-edged leaves.
Size: 300 × 210 × 50 mm.
Size of leaf: 296 × 193 mm.
A few marginal notes, mainly extracting key words and structuring the text, in a sixteenth-century hand in brown ink.
On a2r a large initial ‘A' is supplied in gold within a square segmented frame of blue and green; the area defined by the letter is coloured in pink with black pen-work decoration (Nuremberg style). Other initials are supplied in red or blue; paragraph marks and capital strokes in red.
Provenance: Thomas Nayler (fl. 1640); inscription on a1r: ‘Jun. 3o 1640 Tho: Nayler'; and in the same hand: ‘Charitas non deficit'.
Oxford, University College; two book-plates; shelfmark ‘GG.6.11' on an octagonal paper label edged in red at the head of the spine; see untitled list.
