S-017(1) Copy Binding: Nineteenth-century dark red morocco, blind-tooled in imitation of a fifteenth-century South German design; gilt-edged leaves; probably bound for John Bellingham Inglis (ex informatione Andrew Honey); the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers; gilt-edged leaves; scar of an index tab on [a1r]; brown silk bookmark. The black-letter type and title layout used on the spine is the same as on the spine of BB‑1. Size: 288 × 207 × 20 mm. Size of leaf: 273 × 192 mm. Two- to four-line initials and pilcrows are supplied in red; capital strokes are painted in yellow. Provenance: Jesuits, probably in Konstanz, Switzerland; see obliterated inscription ‘Liber Societatis Jesu C[ ]st[ ]' on [g6r]. John Bellingham Inglis (1780-1870); sale (1826), lot 1429.
