Rhodes, La tipografia nel secolo XV a Vicenza, Santorso e Torrebelvicino (Vicenza, 1987)); Pr lists as [unassigned, Italy]; Sheppard dates [c.1478]. BMC notes the correspondences and differences between this edition and Venice: Filippo di Pietro, 22 June 1478, and suggests ‘that the present edition is a reprint of Filippo's'.

  2. S-022(2) Second copy Bound with C‑022(2); see there for details of binding, decoration, and provenance. Size of leaf: 275 × 207 mm. Wanting the blank leaf a1. Early marginal annotations in red and black ink, including comments on and corrections to the text, extraction of key words, ‘nota' marks; also underlining in the text. On a3r a seven-line initial ‘O' is supplied in blue and black with acanthus scrolling in white, on a red ground decorated in pink and grey and edged in green. This extends into a floral and foliate border containing several birds (supplied in various colours and with black pen-work), and, in the lower margin, two buckets of flowers, and a coat of arms: gules, a falcon or with ring in beak, between three escallops argent (arms of De Lesmeleuc). In the lower margin of a2r is a monogram: ‘BCEF(?)IT', with two mottoes: ‘Post tenebras spero lucem', and ‘Quid mihi cum Lesbo Sicelis esse volo' (Ep. Sapph., 52). Other one- to seven-line initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red. SHELFMARK: Auct. O 2.21(3).
