Marginal notes in a contemporary Italian hand, summarizing the text and supplying historical information. Notes in Latin and German in two very different sixteenth-century German hands in red or black ink, supplying underlining, pointing hands, brackets, comments on the text, and (on the verso of the front endleaf) a note on the author, and extracting key words and personal names.
