A woodcut of 'Salomon Rex', from a copy of Hartmann Schedel, Liber chronicarum (Nuremberg, 1493) [ISTC is00307000 = Pr 2084], fol. 46v ([leaf f2v]), pasted onto the back pastedown. Size: 208 × 153 × 10 mm. Size of leaf: 200 × 145 mm. Extensive bibliographical notes in Douce's hand on the front and back endleaves. Provenance: Julius Mill(?); inscription on the title-page: 'Ex libris Julii Millj'. Dr John Monro (1715-1791); bought by Douce at his sale (23 Apr. 1792), lot 3226, for £0. 3. 0. (unsigned note by David Rogers on the front pastedown, with information taken from Douce's marked-up copy of the auction catalogue, Douce CC 393(17)).
