Binding: Nineteenth-century red morocco with gold-tooled fillets, by T. Kerslake & Co.
Size: 210 × 140 × 5 mm.
Size of leaf: 209 × 138 mm.
On an original front endleaf is written a compendium of the contents, dated 1508, in Italian in a ‘merchantesca' hand in brown ink. On [a1r], below the woodcut, the following note in the same hand: ‘Questa operetta del ben vivere fece il reverendo padre fra Girolamo da Ferara del ordine de fra Predigatori de San Domenico l'anno 1498 quando era in palagio imprigionato'. With a portrait of Savonarola pasted on the modern front endleaf.
