On parchment. Scars of leather on the left-hand margin of the recto and at the head of the verso.
Binding: Kept in a modern, crushed brown morocco document wallet.
Size of leaf: c.195 × c.155 mm.
In the indulgence, the blank spaces for the name of the beneficiary and the date have been filled in by a contemporary hand, brown ink: ‘Vilamajor | xvii | ene[ro]'. On the blank side the following notes, also in a contemporary hand: ‘Buella de Sixto acorgada á 8 mars 1483'; ‘Dada a xvii dies de jener any de millequatrecentosehuytanta'. The wallet also contains correspondence between Ehrman and George Painter (BM), between May and Aug. 1963, relating to the indulgence, with a typescript of Painter's article for BMC X on Vázquez, a print of the indulgence, and a typescript of Breslauer's sale catalogue entry.
Provenance: Berenguer Vilamajor (fl. 1483 or 1485); notes on blank side in a contemporary hand: ‘Joan o' Bereng-Vilamajor. 1485'.
