  1. S-258(1) Copy Binding: Nineteenth-century half brown morocco over brown cloth. The title, gold-tooled along the spine, attributes the book to Hugo de S. Caro. Size: 199 × 141 × 12 mm. Size of leaf: 189 × 129 mm. ‘2' in pencil on a1r. Some marginal notes, including pagination 1-30 only, copious extraction of quotations on b7v and b8r-v, a ‘nota' mark, and a correction, in the same fifteenth-century hand that wrote the ownership note in brown ink. Provenance: Rottenbuch, Bavaria, Augustinian Canons, S. Maria; inscription on a1r: ‘Sum Religiosorum Fratrum in Rottenbuech'. Probably a duplicate from the Royal Library, Munich; ‘2648' in pencil on d6v. Purchased for 6 Marks, from Caspar Haugg, Catalogue 82 (1886), no. 504; see Library Bills (1886), no. 80.
