=563 \\$aBinding: Blind-tooled brown calf over wooden boards, sewn on two double-split bands, with stub of missing fastening leather strap secured at fore-edge of lower board by brass plate, and decorated brass catch at fore-edge of upper board, Germany, possibly Lübeck, late 15th century; blind tools are a diaper motif with four-leaf flowers similar to a tool used by the Maria spitzoval workshop at Lübeck between 1482 and 1503 (EBDB w000853: EBDB s001467), and a winged griffin similar to one used by Hinrich Coster at Lübeck between 1455 and 1486 (EBDB w000948: EBDB s014593).$5UkCU
