Binding: Nineteenth-century blind-tooled calf; bound for the Bodleian Library in 1855 at a cost of £0. 10. 0; see Binders' books (1855, Auct. and Rawl.), p. 1, no. 10 (Library Records d.1203). Blue-edged leaves.
Size: 285 × 202 × 45 mm.
Size of leaf: 275 × 187 mm.
Occasional marginal notes, mainly extracting key words, ‘nota' marks, and pointing hands, in a contemporary German hand in brown ink.
Initials are supplied in red; capital strokes in red.
Provenance: Tegernsee, Bavaria, Benedictines, S. Quirinus; inscription on a2r: ‘Monasterii Tegernseensis'.
Duplicate from the Royal Library, Munich; ‘Duplum' and ‘Inc. Typ. no. 2284' in brown ink on the front endleaf, also ‘1684' in pencil on the rear endleaf.
Presumably acquired during the early 1850s, and certainly before 1855 (the date when it was rebound for the Library).
