Binding: Eighteenth/nineteenth-century Italian gold-tooled red morocco; turquoise-edged leaves; marbled pastedowns; bound for Boutourlin.
Size: 267 × 188 × 34 mm.
Size of leaf: 260 × 173 mm.
Copious early marginal notes in both red and black ink, including occasional comments on the text, also extraction of key words, and ‘nota' marks; irregular early foliation in faded red ink: 1-145. Bibliographical note, dated 19 Apr. 1884, by E. W. B. Nicholson, on the verso of the front endleaf.
